1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione - Performance and Cosmetic Upgrades

The 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione represents the ultimate road-going expression of one of rallying’s most dominant homologation legends. Developed directly from Lancia’s Group A World Rally Championship programme, the Evoluzione refined the already formidable Integrale formula with wider tracks, revised suspension geometry, and enhanced cooling, cementing its place as a defining performance icon of the early 1990s. Today it stands among the most revered modern classics of the era, celebrated for its explosive turbocharged power delivery, sophisticated four-wheel-drive system and unmistakably purposeful styling.

First registered in 1992, this left-hand drive example was originally delivered in Italy before being imported and UK registered in July 2001. The odometer recorded 130,830 kilometres (81,294 miles) in 2025 and currently reads 131,084 kilometres (81,450 miles), representing modest use for a car of this pedigree.

This particular Evoluzione is a tastefully modified example that has been carefully enhanced with a considered selection of performance and cosmetic upgrades, respecting the character of the original while elevating its capability. At its heart remains the legendary 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, now extensively uprated to produce up to 300bhp. Power is delivered to all four wheels through the original five-speed manual transmission, retaining the engaging and mechanical driving experience for which the Integrale is so admired. The engine has been upgraded with larger camshafts, vernier pulleys, a hybrid turbocharger, high-flow air filter, front-mounted intercooler, uprated radiator, oil cooler and strengthened head gasket. Further improvements include a custom stainless-steel manifold and full stainless-steel exhaust system, a two-stage boost and chip setup, and an uprated fuel pump. Modifications include an uprated clutch and brake discs, Öhlins coilover suspension, strut braces, and a Blitz full-auto turbo timer.

Finished in a vibrant red, the car presents with the unmistakable muscular stance of the Evoluzione model. The exterior is complemented by a beige leather interior, enhanced by retrofitted Evoluzione II Recaro leather seats. It rides on a reproduction set of 16-inch Speedline ‘Final Edition’ multi-spoke alloy wheels finished in gloss gunmetal and wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres, completing the car’s purposeful yet refined aesthetic. Inside, the cabin an Alcantara dished Turn One steering wheel provides a tactile connection to the car, while factory equipment includes heater and ventilation controls, front and rear fog lights, a heated rear screen and an electric sunroof.

The car is accompanied by a substantial history file containing MOT certificates, service documentation, instructions and maintenance records dating back to its early life in Italy. It comes complete with two ignition keys, two fuel cap keys and two door keys. Maintenance has been carried out by recognised specialists in recent years. A service was completed at 80,186 miles by Auto Integrale, which included a full service with engine oil and filter change, along with replacement of the driver’s door mirror, passenger windows and windscreen wipers. Prior to this, a comprehensive major service was undertaken in March 2023 by Lancia specialist Walkers Garage Limited. This work included belt and fluid changes, a full engine health check, setup of the newly fitted Öhlins suspension, replacement sump, breather non-return valve, front anti-roll bar links and spark plugs, a compression test, new upper and lower sump gaskets, and replacement of leaking balance shaft seals within the bell housing. Additional recent work includes the installation of new alloy wheels and tyres, a four-wheel alignment, and an engine oil and filter service carried out in December 2022.

This Delta HF Integrale Evoluzione forms part of an extensive private collection and has been stored in dry conditions alongside other collector vehicles. It represents a compelling opportunity to acquire a well-maintained and thoughtfully upgraded example of one of the most iconic rally-derived performance cars ever produced.
