1970 Triumph TR6 - 5 Previous Keepers/Large History File

The Triumph TR6 was introduced in 1968 as the successor to the TR5, combining a Karmann-restyled body with Triumph’s established 2.5-litre straight-six engine and separate-chassis sports-car engineering. Produced through to 1976, the TR6 became one of Triumph’s most recognisable and successful sports cars, with its purposeful styling and traditional rear-wheel-drive layout giving it a strong following today.

This 1970 Triumph TR6 is presented in a handsome green exterior with a contrasting black interior and has had just five previous keepers from new. It is a particularly appealing example for the enthusiast looking for a TR6 with a well-documented history and a substantial accompanying history file.

The car is supported by a wonderful collection of photographs documenting the body restoration it has received, providing an excellent visual record of the work undertaken. Further evidence of its careful ownership comes in the form of the original Triumph service book, complete with stamps, together with a large collection of MOT certificates, the earliest of which dates back to 1973.

There is also a huge quantity of invoices within the history file, helping to detail the car’s ownership and the considerable care and attention that has been lavished upon it over the years. A Heritage Certificate is also present, along with spare keys, adding further appeal to what is a nicely documented and well-presented example of Triumph’s classic six-cylinder sports car.

With its attractive green and black colour combination, low number of former keepers and unusually comprehensive history file, this TR6 represents a charming example of one of Triumph’s most enduring sports cars, ready to be enjoyed by its next custodian.

Viewing is strictly by appointment only.
