1997 TVR Chimaera - Low Mileage/2 Previous Owners
The TVR Chimaera is a two-seat British sports car produced by TVR between 1992 and 2003. Developed during the Peter Wheeler era, it shared its backbone chassis and Rover V8 heritage with the Griffith, while being designed as a slightly more spacious and refined grand tourer. It quickly became one of TVR’s most successful models, combining dramatic styling, strong V8 performance and the character for which the Blackpool marque became renowned.
This 1997 TVR Chimaera is a particularly appealing example, presented in a striking shade of blue and showing a remarkably low mileage of under 13,000 miles from new. A car of this mileage is unusual in itself, but what makes this example especially interesting is the continuity of its ownership. There have been just two previous owners from new, with the second and third registered keepers being husband and wife. The first owner enjoyed the car from 1997 until 1998, when it passed into the same family, where it has remained ever since.

Perhaps most importantly, the original service booklet is fully stamped from new, with the servicing history showing that the car has never missed a service. Three of these services were carried out by the TVR Centre, with a further service undertaken by the prestigious H. R. Owen of London. For a low-mileage TVR of this age, such a consistent and well-documented service history is a real asset.
